December 2024 Newsletter

Merry Christmas!  The angels declared:  “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14).  It is a time of celebration, for the Lord has brought salvation for the world through Jesus Christ.  We pray you are expectant for the Lord’s favor to manifest over you in new ways this season! The best is yet to come!  We were thankful to spend Thanksgiving with Jill’s parents and Vicente and Sarah Cano and got a new family picture taken.  We are grateful for our full quiver of these precious, growing children!

It was a blessing to minister in Marietta, OH at the Celebration Center the first Sunday of December.  The Lord’s Presence was sweet as our children shared from the Word of God and Steve preached.  We were joyous that a man gave his life to Christ during the altar time (see left pic)!  All glory to the Lord!  Jerusalem shared prophetic art with this precious sister who was greatly encouraged, and Justice shared his prophetic art with Celebration Center’s Pastor Gordie Deer.  Additionally, in the service, Rhonda was healed of foot pain!  Others received prayer and we know that Jesus is the Healer!  He wants to heal you, so keep believing His promise!

By God’s grace and your generosity, CKCM has been sponsoring a student at the Riversprings School in Manila, Philippines for the past six years.  Riversprings is the school we visit and do feeding outreaches when we take mission trips; Yissachar and Steve were blessed to be there in April this year!  CKCM recently gave the sponsorship gift to Blessing Hands charity for that student, and we thank our partners for their gracious donations.  Please pray about becoming a partner with CKCM or making a tax-deductible year-end gift.  We pray for our partners and believe the Lord returns to you 100-fold for your seed sown for the Kingdom of God!

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.  Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” (Luke 2:10-14).

God’s gift of Jesus’ arrival on earth was the “good news that will cause great joy for all the people.”  This IS a season of JOY as we look to Jesus, the Greatest Gift.  Let His joy flood your heart and your life!  Do not look at unfavorable circumstances or situations that you cannot control; look to the Answer!  He will guide you into His peace and all truth.

Jesus is also heralded as “Savior,” “Messiah,” and “Lord” by the angels.  He is the only One Who can truly rescue us from all sin, depravity, and evil.  We may not have known that we needed to be saved, but He came to free us from the clutches of the enemy.  Rejoice in His deliverance for the world and His continual ability to liberate you from any bondages.

And finally, the angels point out that God's favor rests on us.  That is complete grace:  “unmerited favor.”  Our efforts did not earn us this favor; it is a gift bestowed upon us!  Because of His favor, we can believe in Jesus’ sacrifice and be saved from sin.  That gift of eternal life is a magnificent gift!  Jesus said, “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” (John 17:3).  Eternal life is not just living forever, but it is being in relationship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus our Savior.  That gift is only given because of Jesus’ tremendous sacrifice on the Cross.  All of this causes wonder and jubilation at all we have been given in Christ!

The greatest gift that we celebrate this Christmas is the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.  No other tangible item can substitute for the amazing grace shown to us by our Savior coming as a baby, living as one of us, demonstrating a life led by the Holy Spirit, and laying down His life as a ransom for the world!  This is a story that only God could design, fulfill, and offer to every person He has created.  This is the good news that the angels declared to the unassuming shepherds over 2,000 years ago.  They declared it so that we can believe and receive this wonder!

May this Christmas season be filled with wonder and rejoicing at God’s beautiful gift to the world: His only begotten Son.  We pray God’s abundance to flood you this holiday and into the New Year, and may the Lord fulfill this to you and your family:  “ . . . peace to those on whom his favor rests.”  In your journey of faith, the best is yet to come!  Keep your eyes on the Prize, receiving His life, strength, hope, and joy as you walk in His destiny for your lives!  We appreciate you and bless you!

Love in Christ, Steve, Jill, Judah, Yisaac, Jonah, Yissachar, Jakin, Yezekiel, Jerusalem, and Justice
