January 2025 Newsletter

Happy New Year!  We pray that you are staying warm during this very cold winter season!  Truly the Lord is our Helper, our Provider, our Hope, and our Comfort in every season.  He promises that He is always with us.  We are grateful for the new year and are filled with anticipation at what the Lord has in store.  Hallelujah!

Yissachar recently helped lead worship at his school’s chapel service.  When Yissachar was about to turn seven years old in the Philippines, he only wanted a guitar for his birthday.  We got him one and he has diligently learned not only his instrument, but to use it for worship of the King.  All glory to the Lord!

Our family has been praying for a particular student at the school to get born again.  After the chapel service where Yissachar helped lead worship, Steve felt the Holy Spirit lead him to share the gospel with this 12th grade student, and he said he was ready to receive Christ as Savior!  What joy as Steve led him in the sinner’s prayer, and the student said he felt a difference!  There is rejoicing in the Kingdom as the lost turn to the Lord!

As we reflect upon what the Lord did through CKCM in 2024, we have been encouraged to report that we saw 85 people get born again!  All glory to God!  We are grateful for the lives that have been transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  “Sozo” is the Greek word for salvation that includes deliverance and healing as well.  This year there were powerful healings in the services we ministered in!  This year we saw miraculous healings such as:  a person’s blurry right eye became totally clear, back pain healed, knee pain gone, sciatic nerve issues sending pain in both legs healed, four years of pain in the bones gone, foot pain taken away, cataract completely healed, glaucoma healed, and one woman said she no longer needed her cane! Christ is the Healer!

Last year, we were blessed to preach in Kentucky in Lexington, Morehead, Olive Hill, and Independence!  We also spent much of the summer ministering in Texas in San Angelo, Midland, and Amarillo.  What a thrill to help with Vacation Bible Schools and preaching at churches!  We also got to minister the grace of God in Eldon, Missouri and Marietta, Ohio as well as Honolulu, Hawaii.  Steve and Yissachar were grateful to return to Manila, Philippines last April, conducting a feeding outreach, preaching, sharing the Gospel on the basketball court, and ministering in a new area of the Philippines:  Ilocos Norte!  What a tremendous year!  The Lord has been faithful to use this ministry for His glory and we are grateful to be part of what He is doing in the earth.

Now it’s a new year!  What are you believing God for this year?  He wants us to be expectant and hopeful for His best!  His promises for you are “Yes” and “Amen” in Christ, so receive His goodness, kindness, joy, restoration, health, provision, and all that He provided for us in His covenant.  Lord willing, you saw the Lord do a lot in 2024.  He is still answering those prayers and working behind-the-scenes on your behalf.  He is faithful to take care of His children, amen?  However, His blessings are so great that they exceed being fulfilled in just one year, so let’s step out in faith for THIS year believing God for even more!  More salvations, more healing, more deliverance, more provision, more dreams realized, more restoration, more travel, more joy, more peace, more direction, more clarity, more hope, more anointing, more breakthrough, and more of HIM!

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.  (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Let’s look at that verse in another translation:  Never doubt God's mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! (Ephesians 3:20, The Passion Translation)

The more we look to the Lord, the more we see His ability to make the impossible become possible.  As we hear His Word, our faith increases and fear goes away.  Don’t let fear steal God’s best for you.  Believe in His goodness, even if it may not appear that He is good in a particular circumstance.  He is better than we think He is!  The enemy wants us to doubt the goodness of God, but it is the Lord God Almighty that created all that we see and enjoy, and He gave it to us as a bountiful gift.  Be thankful for His many blessings, and you will see as He wants you to see.  Express gratitude for your breath, your health, your possessions, friends, family, and your LIFE!  That will help pave the way for God’s best to come alive for you in 2025!  We appreciate you!

Love in Christ, Steve, Jill, Judah, Yisaac, Jonah, Yissachar, Jakin, Yezekiel, Jerusalem, and Justice
